Akita Inu Puppy Training

After socialization, which is most important for a Akita Inu puppy, we started to train Hana. Training Akitas require patience, firmness, and consistency. They are naturally willful but respond very well to positive reinforcement.

Akita Inu Colors

Unlike Amerikan Akitas, Akita Inu comes in a small choice of colors, with all other colors considered atypical of the breed. Coats can be of any color including pure white, red and sesame without clear borders. A black mask is forbidden. Here you can see illustration with Akita Inu Colors


 

Akita Inu History

The Akita Inu was named after the rugged, mountainous Akita province on the northern end of Japan’s Honsu island, where the first dogs of this type were developed in the 17th century and remained unchanged for centuries. Recent DNA analysis confirms that this is one of the oldest breeds of dog.
